Tom Roy
Tom is a lifelong servant-leader in sports ministry, he is the Founder and former
Executive Director of Unlimited Potential, Inc. for some 39 years. He also served
as Chaplain for the Chicago White Sox for five, and, for over 30 years, Tom also
had the honor of serving as Chaplain for the NCCAA Baseball World Series.
At just 17, Tom signed with the San Francisco Giants, which began a lifelong
commitment to coaching, mentoring, and scouting. He has coached baseball,
football, and basketball at the high school level, and held collegiate coaching
positions at Grace College and Huntington University.
Tom has also worked as an associate scout for MLB teams including the Atlanta
Braves, San Diego Padres, and Philadelphia Phillies. Today, he continues to invest
in faith and leadership development through service on several nonprofit boards.
Matt Binkerd
Matt has over 25 years of coaching experience and more than two decades as an Athletic Director. Matt had the privilege of leading successful athletic
programs and teams across the state of Oregon & Indiana.
He is a Certified Master Athletic Administrator (CMAA) through the NIAAA
and remains passionate about shepherding other athletic directors, coaches,
athletes, and parents, guardians, & grandparents of athletes.
Matt was a three-sport all-state standout in high school. He went on to play
football and track at the University of Oregon.
As both an AD and a parent of athletes, Matt has seen firsthand the successful impact of the Shepherd Coach Network 7-Step "Winning" Discipleship Program, helping shape not just athletic departments, coaches, and athletes, but his own now-grown children who continue to seek the Word of God long after they have left his care.
